Transfer Students

Considering transferring? We’d love to welcome you

We value the theological education you’ve already begun and make the transfer process as straightforward as possible. Whether you’re moving closer to home, seeking a different academic environment, or drawn to the traditions of our seminaries, we’re here to help you transition smoothly.

Get started

Reach out to us at seminaryadmissions@moravian.edu to discuss your program interests and transfer options. We’ll walk you through the process and answer your questions.

What to expect

Complete the standard application for your degree program — just like all incoming students. During the process, you’ll also request a transfer credit evaluation.

Transfer up to half your required credits. We accept coursework from:

  • ATS-accredited theological institutions
  • Graduate programs at regionally-accredited universities

Credits must meet these criteria:

  • Grade of B- or higher
  • Taken within 10 years of your projected graduation date

The evaluation process

Submit your Transfer Credit Application (available from our Director of Enrollment & Financial Aid) along with:

  • Course syllabi
  • Official transcripts

Our faculty will review your coursework to determine which credits transfer and how they fit into your degree plan.
