Doctor of Athletic Training with Second-Degree Master of Science in Sport Psychology 

Sport psychology complements the athletic trainers’ practice domains by focusing on the mental aspects of performance and well-being, such as motivation, confidence, stress management, injury recovery, and team dynamics. Through º£½ÇÂÒÂ×ÉçÇøâ€™s Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) + second-degree Master of Science in Sport Psychology (MS-PS), graduates are uniquely positioned to integrate advanced clinical knowledge with performance psychology expertise. This program is the first of its kind in the nation, combining a DAT with an MS-PS degree. 

Graduates will be eligible to sit for the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) examination through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) 

Program Structure 

The second-degree MS-PS requires 36 credits. Eighteen (18) credits are met through double-counted courses across the DAT and MS-PS programs, and 18 credits come from additional MS-PS/MCC coursework.
